![]() Register Bus Transportation to CLS
- Routes from North & South Orange County
Dear CLS Parent: Our Lord's grace, peace, and presence to you! By now you are likely aware that Crean Lutheran South High School, in concert with Durham Transportation, is pleased to be offering transportation plans to and from CLS this coming fall. Separate northern and a southern routes have been established, and a high percentage of the 50 spaces available on each bus have already been reserved. Those interested in reserving space should download and print the attached form and submit it to the front office ASAP. Initial payments are due by August 1. The routes, departure & pick-up times, rates, and payment instructions are listed below. Routes / After-School Opportunities: In cooperation with four of our partner churches-schools, CLS is pleased to offer bus service along the following routes. These routes provide for dropping off 15 minutes before school starts (7:30 a.m.), and they provide for after-school activities and study programs. CLS sponsors numerous after-school activities including sports, performing art programs, clubs meetings, leadership activities, as well as a faculty-monitored Study Table program. North-Central Route: (per month) Departure-Return To: St. Paul's Lutheran School, 901 E Heim Ave. Orange, 92865
Departure-Return To: Red Hill Lutheran School, 13200 Red Hill Ave, Tustin, 92780
South-Central Route: (per month) Departure-Return To: Aliso Viejo Christian School, 1 Orion, Aliso Viejo, CA. 92656
Departure-Return To: Abiding Savior Lutheran School, 23262 El Toro Road, Lake Forest, 92630
One-Day Passes: CLS will also be making single-day roundtrip and half-day passes available. The roundtrip cost for one day will be $8.00. A single-day, one-way pass will be $5.00. These rate apply to any destination. * School days featuring early dismissal will have an alternate return time, which will be released before school starts. Reservations / Rates / Financial Aid: Families interested in either taking advantage of this program or learning more about the program, including those who have applied or are interested in applying to CLS for next year, are strongly encouraged to e-mail transportation@clshs.org to have their name placed on the interest list, as space is limited. Additional communication will be initiated with those who respond. Monthly payments, running August 1 – May 1, will be accepted through Vanco, CLS’s online merchant banking system. Families who pre-pay the annualized rate for either roundtrip or one-way service (e.g. 10 months x applicable rate) will receive a 5-percent discount. Those paying on a month-to-month basis should pay before the first of the month. All riders will be issued a laminated card validating for the bus driver their eligibility to ride. Students needing to ride the bus on an impromptu basis in the morning may do by communicating to the bus driver that they are a day passenger and will pay when disembarking. A CLS staff member will greet the bus each morning to collect fees from day travelers. Students needing a one-day afternoon pass would be able to purchase a half-day pass in the front office until 4:00 p.m. Financial Aid: Current or prospective CLS families who plan to apply for financial aid for tuition may also petition for transportation aid. To streamline the process, all a family must do is make a formal request for transportation aid in the same cover letter that is required for financial aid for tuition purposes. The financial aid committee will prayerfully consider financial aid for transportation at the same time as tuition. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me; otherwise, please e-mail transportation@clshs.org to get more information on this exciting new program. All Aboard! In Christ, Brian Underwood Vice Principal, External Affairs
